PROCESS

There are no rules here, just guidance and suggestions.

WITH A BAMBOO WHISK

Bring water to just under a boil. Whisk matcha and water in a small bowl or vessel until well blended. Combine with cool or heated and textured milk. Sweeten to taste.

Best not to use your whisk with milk.  To clean your whisk, rinse it with warm water and let it air dry.

WITH AN ELECTRIC FROTHER

Using an electric frother means you can prepare matcha and milk separately or at the same time. Preparing matcha separately is recommended to make sure the tea gets fully blended. It's your ride. You do you.

This method works well for hot and cold lattes.

For hot lattes, heat water to under a boil and add to matcha. To warm the milk, use your stove top, a microwave or a small milk warming appliance. Combine matcha and milk and blend with the frother directly in your class.

Or combine all the ingredients first and then warm your latte over the stove.

WITH A COUNTER TOP BLENDER

Using a blender means you can add heftier ingredients like coconut oil, bananas, or dates. Combine matcha, milk, fruits and any flavors like vanilla, honey or cinnamon. Give it a whirl. Make sure your ingredients are cooled before adding to a blender. Drink immediately. No heating required.
