INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp Gotcha Matcha
- 6 oz preferred milk
- chai spices like cardamom, anise, cloves and cinnamon
OPTIONAL
- black tea
- sweeten to taste
- fresh peeled ginger
PROCESS
This is SOOOOO personal. There are SOOOOO many ways to prepare chai. Here are some guidelines and suggestions.
PREPARE CHAI
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and combine Assam black tea, chai spices, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star of anise and ginger. Let simmer for 5 - 7 minutes.
Add milk of choice, and any sweetener. Let simmer, be sure not to over boil. After a few minutes, strain the milky spiced tea mixture into a tall mug
PREPARE MATCHA
Whisk or froth 1 teaspoon matcha tea with 3 ounces hot water.
PREPARE THE LATTE
Combine matcha tea and chai brew into a tall mug. Enjoy immediately.
